Accessible Features


The most accessible entrance to the Library Building is #1 which takes you to the ground floor. This entrance has a level entrance, a 36 inch-wide doorway and an automatic door. However, this entrance also has a fairly steep incline. It is recommended you use a power operated chair around our hilly campus.  The most inaccessible entrance is #2. It has a handle that is 46 inches high and no automatic door. Entrance #3 does not have an automatic door, but it is a relatively light door to open and has a lower handle. This entrance leads to the 1st floor and Administrative offices, Bursar, Registrar, and Financial Aid.

  • Width of office doors are 32 inches-a-piece.

  • The elevator in the Library Building is currently being modified to meet ADA Accessibility Guidelines and should be complete by the beginning of the Fall semester 2000.

  • The restrooms on the ground floor of this building meet ADA Accessibility Guidelines.

  • There are pay phones located on the ground and first floors. The height of the coin slots on the pay phones are 52 inches (ground) and 61 inches (first).

  • There are accessible water fountains on the ground and first floors with a height of 38 inches.
