The Office of Disability Services provides information and resources to qualified disabled students on the IU Southeast campus, providing accommodations to access educational opportunities that are offered on campus. This office will provide guidance regarding appropriate accommodations. The office acts as a liaison, consultant, and referral service for agents of the university and for students. Academic accommodations and other services are provided on an individual basis determined by documented need.

The Office of Equity and Diversity is available to assist instructors, staff, and students with the legal aspects of providing equal access to education. Students, staff, or instructors who believe that they are experiencing discrimination based upon their disabilities should contact this office. Any questions about the coverage and/or application of Indiana University's Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action Policy should be addressed to this office as well.

The Student Development Center provides academic help for students by means of placement tests, CLEP exams, tutoring, and a math lab, as well as special study skills seminars and a developmental course in reading and study skills. The center has a lending library and study skills videotapes.


Writing Help Center

The Writing Help Center offers each IUS student individual instruction in writing by the English faculty. While at IUS, students can receive help in the following areas: using word processors and e-mail, strengthening essays and speeches, documenting research papers, and preparing resumes and letters. Every student may obtain free help by dropping in at the center during class hours.
