Admitted Students
Congratulations on your admission to Indiana University Southeast! We look forward to working with you throughout the enrollment process. The steps below will guide you in becoming an IU Southeast student.
Apply for Financial Aid
Help fund your college education by applying for financial aid. Learn more about your funding options and important deadlines by visiting the Office of Financial Aid.
Apply for Campus Housing
Beginning in Fall 2008, IU Southeast students will have the option of living on campus. Learn more about our brand new residence halls and get an application at the Office of Residence Life and Housing.
Access Network ID (Complete BEFORE Advising and Registration)
Newly admitted students may set up their network identification upon receipt of their Certificate of Admission. To create your network identification user name, you will need to visit the Account Management System. You will need your University Identification Number listed on your Certificate of Admission. Your network identification will enable you to access information from OneStart, which will help you manage your academic life including personal information, academic services, registration and financial aid. If you need help setting up your network identification user name, please call 812-941-2447.
PLEASE NOTE: If you set up an IU guest account to check your admission status, you must set up a new IU computer account in order to register for classes and manage your student record.
View Transfer Credit Report (Complete BEFORE Advising and Registration)
If you are transferring credits from another college or university, you can view your credit transfer report online. After creating your network identification user name and password, you may log onto OneStart and view your report in the Self-Service tab. If you have questions about the transfer of credits, please call the Admissions Office at 812-941-2212.
Advising and Registration
First-Year Students
All first-year students will be invited to a mandatory Student Testing, Advising, Information and Registration (STAIR) session. Invitations will begin going out in March, and sessions will be offered from April through August. The earlier you attend, the sooner you can secure your schedule at IU Southeast! View STAIR dates and register online.
Transfer Students
Transfer students must call their academic school to schedule an advising appointment and register for classes. Your school’s phone number is listed on your certificate of admission. If you did not transfer college level English or Math credits to IU Southeast (see your transfer credit report), you will need to take placement tests before your advising appointment. Visit the Student Development Center or call 812-941-2312 for more information about placement tests.
Attend Orientation
All degree-seeking students new to IU Southeast are expected to attend Orientation on Friday, August 22nd, 2008. Mark your calendars! During Orientation, you will be officially inducted into the IU Southeast community. You will also have opportunities to meet faculty, staff and other new students; learn about academic expectations; locate your classrooms; get your student ID created; purchase books; and take a campus tour. First-year students will receive more information about Orientation during their STAIR session, and transfer students will receive information during their academic advising session. Visit Campus Life to learn more and register online.
Get Your Student ID
The U Card is your official student identification at IU Southeast – it also serves as a library card and debit card. Students living on campus will also use the U Card for building access. First-year students will get their U Card during their STAIR session or during Orientation. Transfers and other students can get their U Card at the Bursar’s Office during regular business hours, or during the Orientation on August 22.
Purchase a parking permit
Parking permits may be purchased when registering for classes. More information about parking permits is available from the University Police office in University Center South, room 027.
Start Classes
The first day of class for the Fall 2008 semester is Monday, August 25.
