Yes, the application fee is $35.00.

What are your Admission Standards?
Freshman applicants must meet one of the following four criteria:
1. Core 40 diploma with at least a 2.0 high school GPA
2. Academic Honors diploma
3. At least 28 college preparatory high school courses AND at least a 3.0 high school GPA
4. At least 28 college preparatory high school courses, at least a 2.5 high school GPA, AND at least 950 on the SAT or 19 on the ACT
All applicants who have graduation date of May, 2005 or later submit SAT or ACT scores. This requirement includes current high school students.
Students who are not eligible for full admission may be admitted conditionally if two of the following three criteria are met: * At least a 2.0 GPA * At least 26 college preparatory high school courses * At least 900 on the SAT or 19 on the ACT

What is the expected SAT or ACT score?
SAT combined score of at least 950 (Critical Reading + Math score must equal 950)
ACT composite score of at least 19
IUS encourages all students to take the SAT or ACT, including the writing section.
Please note that students must meet the required SAT score of 950 using the sum of only the Math and Critical Reading scores.

Will IU Southeast accept the GED?
Yes, IU Southeast admits students who earned a score of 50 on the previous GED scale, or a 500 on the new scoring scale.
Students must provide the Admissions Office with a copy of their test scores when applying.

Do I need to submit a high school transcript?
A high school transcript or GED scores are required for all new freshmen and anyone who has less than 26 credit hours from an accredited college or university.

I reside in Kentucky. Do I have to pay out of state fees?
If you are age 21 or less, and your parent's permanent residence is in Jefferson, Oldham, Bullitt, Meade, or Trimble counties, you are eligible to receive Indiana reciprocity (resident) tuition fee rates.
If you are age 21 or older, and your permanent residence for the past 12 months is in Jefferson, Oldham, Bullitt, Meade, or Trimble counties, you are eligible to receive Indiana reciprocity (resident) tuition fee rates.

How do I apply for Financial Aid?
Students who wish to apply for financial aid must fill out the Free Application for Student Financial Assistance (FAFSA). The Priority Application Date is March 10. Visit the Office of Student Financial Assistance web page for more information and application forms.
IU Southeast also offers a wide range of scholarships. Students need to complete a scholarship application by February 1. Download the application from the Office of Student Financial Assistance.

How can I schedule a campus tour?
Several programs are also available for prospective students to visit our campus each semester. You can sign up for these programs at www.ius.edu/admissions/tours.cfm.
Campus tours are given Monday through Friday at 10am and 4pm throughout the year. These small group tours are lead by Student Ambassadors and normally last 45 minutes. Don't forget to schedule an appointment with an admissions counselor before or after your tour! Reserve your spot by calling the Admissions Office at 941-2212 or toll-free outside the local calling area at 1-800-852-8835.

Can I visit and attend a college class?
Sitting in the college classroom can be arranged by calling the Admissions Office at 941-2212 or 1-800- 852-8835. If possible, please call two weeks in advance.

Is there an application deadline?
Applications are processed as they are received. You are encouraged to apply as early as possible. Applications are accepted until ten days prior to the beginning of the semester. If you are attending high school, you may apply after completing your junior year.

Does IU Southeast offer academic scholarships?
IU Southeast offers a wide range of scholarships. Awards are available for beginning students as well as transfer students. Complete and return the scholarship application to the Office of Student Financial Assistance by February 1(priority deadline).
