Red Edition Coaching Staff

Lori Carmichael-Shields, Head Coach

This is Lori's second year as head coach of the Red Edition Dance Team. She is looking forward to building a strong team this year that will participate in Nationals in Las Vegas.

With a strong background in theater, Lori brings some new twists to dance. With an ever present flare for the dramatic, you will see some exciting routines. She believes in team input and gathers ideas from the team as well on music selections and forms of dance. With a major emphasis on fun, Lori hopes to build a strong exciting team over the next several years.

Kim Smith, Choreographer

This is Kim's second year choreographing the tryout routine for the Red Edition. She was a member of the Red Edition team during the 2006-2007 season. She currently dances with the Kentuckiana All-Starz dance team who recently traveled to Nationals in Indianapolis and received first in their division. She was also a member of the nationally ranked Floyd Central Dazzlers Dance Team from 2000-2004. Kim will be helping the team this year with various routines.

Leah Smith, Choreographer

Leah Smith will be choreographing several routines for the team this year. Leah is a young and innovative choreographer. She began her professional career with Creative Dance Vision three years ago just after completing her freshman year in college. Being a member of the CDV team, Leah specializes in pom, kick, jazz, novelty, and hip-hop. She has enjoyed sharing her passion of dance while teaching private dance camps to middle school, high school, and university dance teams across the US.
