IU Southeast:
What an
exciting year it has been for the Indiana University Southeast men’s basketball
program! The Grenadiers were undefeated
in conference play, clinched the regular season title, won the KIAC conference
championship, and advanced to the NAIA national tournament. It has been a real privilege to work with the
players and staff at IUS. We are poised
to take the program to the next level—the future is promising, but we need your
help in assuring continued success.
Wiley Brown and
Scooter McCray are pleased to announce the first annual IU Southeast Athletics
Golf Outing. This year’s outings will be
held on Monday, September 15th, 2008 at GlenOaks Country Club
and Monday,
September 22, 2008 at Jeffersonville Elk’s County Club. Proceeds from this year’s
outing will help us cover
some of the expenses for items such as tutoring, shoes, uniforms, warm-ups, and
travel that a first-rate program needs in order to boost performance and
maintain team morale. Your participation
in these efforts is truly appreciated.
We are pleased
to invite you to play in this inaugural event.
As an individual, you will be paired as equitably as possible to teams
needing players, or you may choose to enter a team of your own. The format for
this year’s outing will be a scramble.
Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. with lunch at noon and a shotgun
start at 1:00 p.m. A silent auction will
be held during registration and lunch.
You and/or your
guest(s) will be charged a $125.00 entry fee.
Entry fee includes all golf costs, lunch, dinner, range balls, and
prizes. Tournament winners will be
determined by a handicap system, and only those teams submitting each player’s
handicap (or average score) will be eligible for prizes. First, second, and
third place prizes will be awarded, along with prizes for the longest drive,
closest to pin, and an opportunity to win a new car from Sam Swope for a hole-in-one.
This year’s
outing promises to be an exciting event.
Please register as soon as possible as we expect a sellout. Your
registration form is enclosed.
