January 8, 2009 – IU Southeast defeated Oakland City University
77-72 in overtime on Thursday night. The Grenadiers (7-7) were led by Tiffany
Slaughter with a double-double. She scored 23 points to go along with 11
rebounds. Andrea Chambers, Whitney Duncan and Jenna Richie also all scored in
double-figures. The Grenadiers return home on Saturday afternoon when they
host Alice Lloyd College at 4 p.m. to begin conference play. ( Full Results )
December 30, 2008 – IU
Southeast defeated Houghton College (N.Y.) 56-44 on Tuesday night. The game
marked the first time the two schools have ever met in women’s basketball
competition. IU Southeast (6-7, 0-0 KIAC) was led by Lauren Brim with 10 points and two rebounds. Tia Wineinger owned the glass for the
Grenadiers as she pulled down 11 rebounds to go along with her four points.
The Grenadiers led at halftime 27-19 before outscoring Houghton 29-25 in the
second half to finish with the home victory. IU Southeast will return to
action next week when the team hosts Oakland City for a 5:30 game on

December 22, 2008 – Andrea Chambers surpassed two career milestones as
a women’s basketball player at IU Southeast by recently joining the 1000 point
and 500 rebound clubs.

December 17, 2008 – IU Southeast defeated St. Mary-of-the-Woods
College 68-47 on Wednesday night in New Albany. The Grenadiers (5-6) were led
by TeAira Epps with 10 points and three steals. Andrea Chambers also earned
her 500th career rebound. The team will now break for the holidays
and return on December 30 at 7 p.m. when they host Houghton College. ( Full Results )
December 13, 2008 – IU Southeast fell to Lindsey Wilson College 53-40 on
Saturday afternoon. The Grenadiers (4-6) were led by Lauren Brim with eight
points and five rebounds. The Grenadiers will take on St. Mary-of-the-Woods
College on Wednesday night (Dec. 17) at home for a 7 p.m. tipoff.

December 6, 2008 – IU Southeast fell to No. 27-ranked Taylor University
58-48 on Saturday afternoon. The Grenadiers were led by Alden Krausse with 11
points and eight rebounds. IU Southeast (4-5) will host Lindsey Wilson

December 2, 2008 – IU Southeast fell to Spalding University 62-59 on
Tuesday night. The Grenadiers (4-4) will return home on Saturday for a 2 p.m.

November 22, 2008 – IU Southeast defeated Kentucky Christian 65-46 on
Saturday afternoon to improve to 4-3 overall. The Grenadiers were led by
Whitney Duncan with 18 points and seven rebounds. Andrea Chambers added 14
points and eight rebounds for IU Southeast. The team will break for
Thanksgiving and return to action on December 2 when they travel to
Louisville to take on Spalding University for a 7 p.m. game. ( Full

November 19, 2008 – IU Southeast fell to NCAA Division I IUPUI 66-40
on the road on Wednesday night in Indianapolis. The Grenadiers (3-3) were led
by Whitney Duncan with ten points and three rebounds. IU Southeast will
return for its home opener on Saturday afternoon when the team takes on
Kentucky Christian for a 2 p.m. game.

November 14, 2008 – IU Southeast fell to Lindsey Wilson College on the
road 76-55 on Friday night. The Grenadiers were led by Andrea Chambers with
15 points and four rebounds. The team will take on NCAA Division I IUPUI next
Wednesday (Nov. 19) at 7 p.m. in Indianapolis.

November 8, 2008 – IU Southeast had a successful weekend at the Asbury
College invitational tournament in Wilmore, Kentucky. On Friday, IU Southeast defeated Bluefield
College 68-59 and on Saturday afternoon the Grenadiers (3-1) defeated
UVa-Wise 58-47. The team will return to the road on Friday, Nov. 14 when they
travel to play Lindsey Wilson College for a 6 p.m. game. ( Full

November 1, 2008 – IU Southeast proved to play very aggressive and solid basketball on
Saturday evening defeating No. 4-ranked St. Francis 67-56 in Ft. Wayne. The
Grenadiers (1-1) were led by Andrea Chambers with 14 points and four
rebounds. Tiffiani Slaughter also scored in double-digits with11 points of
her own. The Grenadiers will be back in action next weekend when they travel
to the Asbury College Tournament and face Bluefield College at 6 p.m. on
Friday, November 7.
October 31, 2008 – IU Southeast fell to Spring Arbor (MI) 62-57 in the
team’s season opener at the St. Francis Invitational Tournament on Friday.
The Grenadiers (0-1) will face off with tournament host St. Francis at 7 p.m.
on Saturday evening. To contend for the win, the Grenadiers will have to play
solid basketball as St. Francis earned the No. 4 ranking in the recent NAIA
Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Top 25 poll.
October 29, 2008 – IU Southeast Women’s Basketball Program predicted
to finish first in the conference in KIAC Preseason Coaches’ Poll.
