Message from the Dean
Welcome to the IU Southeast School of Business web site. As an AACSB accredited business school, the IU Southeast School of Business maintains the quality reputation of an IU degree. Our mission is "quality education for a lifetime of achievement." In addition to the AACSB accreditation, we have solid evidence that supports our mission of "quality education." For example, during the Spring and Fall 2007 semesters, our seniors scored in the top 90% and 95% in the country on the ETS Major Field Exam in Business. In addition to the top performance of our undergraduate students, our MBA students scored in the top 5% nationally.
These tremendous results can be attributed to the excellent students that we graduate every year, and the high quality faculty of the School of Business. We attract top faculty who are committed to excellent teaching in the classroom and are dedicated to maintaining currency in their discipline through intellectual contributions and professional development.
Regardless of one's major, business professionals succeed if they have a well-rounded understanding of business and can successfully make "business" decisions. The School of Business takes pride in offering a solid undergraduate experience in "business" with opportunities to pursue concentrations in accounting, business economics and public policy, finance, information and operations management, marketing, and management. Our business curriculum and our academic partnership with the Wall Street Journal combine to give our students a strong base of academic rigor and knowledge of the contemporary business world. Additionally, our MBA and MS in Strategic Finance continue to grow and attract business professionals from the Greater Louisville Area.
