Indiana University Southeast's MBA Program Featured in the Princeton Review's 'Best 290 Business Schools: 2008 Edition'
Indiana University Southeast has an outstanding business school, according to The Princeton Review. The New York-based education services company features the school in the just-published 2008 edition of its "Best 290 Business Schools" (Random House / Princeton Review, Oct. 9, 2007).
According to Robert Franek, Princeton Review VP-Publishing, "We select schools for this book based on our high regard for their academic programs and offerings, institutional data we collect from the schools, and the candid opinions of students attending them who rate and report on their campus experiences at the schools. We are pleased to recommend Indiana University Southeast to readers of our book and users of our website as one of the best institutions they could attend to earn an MBA."
Dr. Jay White, dean of the School of Business at Indiana University Southeast, said, "We have worked diligently to create a high-quality part-time program that meets the needs of our market. Our program was built from the ground up with working professionals in mind and offers the best combination of high academic standards and the flexibility needed to balance a degree program with a challenging career. Being included among the top business programs by The Princeton Review provides external endorsement of the quality of our students and faculty and attests to the efforts that have been put forth to create a rigorous yet flexible MBA program."
"I am especially pleased that the IU Southeast School of Business has been named a Best Business School three years in a row now," said Dr. Paul Pittman, Director of Graduate Business Programs at Indiana University Southeast. "This recognition follows our recent national and regional Top Part-Time MBA program ranking by BusinessWeek. Although achieving high visibility in such publications is not an explicit goal of our school, we are nonetheless very pleased to have national confirmation for what our faculty, students, alumni, and employers already know & that this is a high-caliber MBA program."
"Best 290 Business Schools" has two-page profiles of the schools with write-ups on their academics, student life and admissions, plus ratings for their academics, selectivity and career placement services
In a "Survey Says. . ." sidebar in the profile, The Princeton Review lists topics that IU Southeast students it surveyed for the book were in most agreement about. The list includes: "cutting-edge classes," and "solid preparation in operations." The Princeton Review's 80-question survey asked students about themselves, their career plans, and their schools' academics, student body and campus life.
The IU Southeast School of Business also offers a Masters of Science in Strategic Finance (MSSF). Like our nationally-ranked Part-Time MBA program, the MSSF was designed for working professionals, offers leading-edge, practical knowledge, and allows the flexibility to pursue a challenging degree while balancing work and personal goals. A dual MBA/MSSF option is also offered and courses are available both at our main campus in New Albany and our Graduate Center located just minutes from downtown Louisville.
