School of Business Entrepreneur Workshop

The School of Business and the Regional Economic Development Resource Center at IU Southeast will offer a workshop “Identify and Develop Your Skills: Start Your Own Business” Tuesday evenings, 5:45 – 8:45, September 15 – November 17 in University Center North, Room #122.

The workshop will help participants prepare a business plan and will include tips on developing a mission statement, focusing on a product/ service, identifying customers and putting together a marketing plan, exploring legal issues, identifying costs, evaluating human resource needs, and addressing accounting and financial planning needs.

The program is geared for people interested in starting a business, current business owners/managers, minority/women-owned businesses, and recently displaced workers.

Frank Wadsworth, Professor of Marketing and International Studies at Indiana University Southeast will facilitate the workshop. Dr. Wadsworth has taught several entrepreneur training programs over the past 10 years and is himself an entrepreneur.
