Advising Information

After a candidate applies for and is admitted into the program, s/he enters the second "block" of professional education courses, the General Methods (Block 2). The candidate's records are formally transferred to the School of Education and a faculty advisor from the Elementary Education Program team is assigned.

Transfer Candidates

Candidates who transfer to IU Southeast from other institutions with fewer than 26 credit hours are advised by personnel in the Academic Success Center (Jane Spitznagel, 812/941.2243).  Candidates transferring with 26 or more credit hours should contact the the faculty member who advises transfer candidates: Dr Barbara Thompson-Book (Hillside Hall 108F, 812/941.2563, bacthomp@ius.edu).
