If poor weather should raise a question about whether a session will be held, please call the School of Education receptionist (812/941.2385).
For candidates admitted after 7/15/2011, a two-year gap in coursework will require a new application for re-admission into any graduate program, and a mandatory meeting with a program advisor. The re-admitted candidate must then comply with any new program requirements, if any.

If you are interested in participating in the course of study for the Reading Teacher license, you must attend an informational meeting--reservations are not required. Attendance at the meeting will also help qualify you for permissions to register for several of the literacy courses. Students who attended the session last summer do not need to come to another. You must hold a valid teaching license to qualify for the Reading License program.
If poor weather should raise a question about whether a session will be held, please call the School of Education receptionist (812/941.2385).
Candidates who are officially accepted will be given priority for all literacy courses that require permission ("PERM") to register.
Reminder: many of the reading classes are currently offered only in the summer sessions. You must plan to attend at least two different years in the summer (in addition to regular semesters) in order to receive the Reading License. More information about the program can be viewed at www.ius.edu/education/Graduate/readlicense.cfm.
Program coordinator, Dr. Susan Ridout, may be reached at her office in Hillside Hall 0012; 812/941.2367; or sridout@ius.edu.
