LicensesThe following license programs are offered through the Graduate Study in Education program at IU Southeast. For more information, please visit the linked web pages below. KENTUCKY EDUCATORS--ATTENTION!!! Educators licensed in Kentucky need official transcripts for license renewal and/or rank change applications. BE AWARE that official IU Southeast transcripts are not available immediately after coursework is completed. Transcripts with grades are usually available about one week after the end of each term (Fall, Spring, Summer 1, and Summer 2). (While Intensive 2 courses are finished in late July, grades will not be posted until mid-August.) Degrees are awarded three times a year: 5/31, 8/31, and 12/31; degrees are posted to official transcripts on or about 15 days later. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that renewal coursework and license applications are completed in a timely manner, allowing time for obtaining necessary official transcripts and for state agencies to process.
Persons seeking admission to the IU Southeast School of Education graduate programs must attend a required group advising session. (A list of these programs and schedules for their advising sessions may be seen at http://www.ius.edu/education/GradEdAdvise.cfm.) At the sessions, candidates receive an application packet, directions on how to apply, a program handbook, and a description of program policies and procedures. For candidates admitted after 7/15/2011 who do not earn credit for course work at IU Southeast during any one-year period will be required to meet new requirements in effect when they resume their course work at IU Southeast. Candidates with a two-year gap in coursework must meet with an advisor and reapply for admission. |
