Secondary Program Completion Requirements

Candidates in the Secondary Transition to Teaching Program must do the following to successfully complete the program:

  1. maintain a 2.75 GPA with no grade less than a "C" (2.00) in the required education courses;
  2. demonstrate the dispositions required by the School of Education (view the required dispositions);
  3. receive positive recommendations with no unsatisfactory ratings from instructors and cooperating teachers on final evaluations for all courses and field experiences;
  4. present a satisfactory portfolio at the end of student teaching;
  5. successfully complete Summative Decision Points II, III, and IV. See the Continuing Requirements and Program Completion Requirements for the Secondary Education Program for Summative Decision requirements.
