The Office of Equity and Diversity is committed and works hard to ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws and with University equal employment opportunity and affirmative action policies. Our primary responsibilities are listed below:
- Compilation and maintenance of statistical data on faculty and staff at Indiana University Southeast for completion of the University Affirmative Action Plan.
- Monitoring employee searches (i.e. faculty, professional and support staff) to ensure that fair and effective selection practices are followed.
- Investigating and resolving discrimination complaints involving affirmative action, equal employment opportunity and federal, state and local laws.
- Providing education, training and consultation services to university departments and student organizations concerning issues related to equal employment opportunity and affirmative action policies.
