Submit only a typed or neatly printed (in black ink only) when submitting a paper application.
Make sure you use your grammar and spell check on your computer. It is also a good idea to have another set of eyes review your work to catch any mistakes!
If you can submit electronically, follow up to make sure it was received in its entirety.
If you are applying at the last minute, make sure your application will be received by the deadline – check to see where to drop off or electronically submit the application. Follow up to make sure it arrived. Sometimes, just taking this extra step will demonstrate your seriousness with the details.
For those scholarships that do rely on financial need, IU Southeast must receive your FAFSA by March 1 in order to qualify!
Correspond with those who will be writing your letters of recommendation frequently, reminding them of the deadline and answering any questions they may have for you. The more familiar they are with your qualifications, the better the quality of the letter of recommendation!
