Meal Plans and Dining Options
Each apartment has a full kitchen with standard appliances. Still, many students may enjoy the convenience of a meal plan provided by Dining Services. You can pay for food — in the Commons, the campus coffee shops, or in vending machines — with your UCard. The UCard is your official identification. It acts as your campus ID, a library card, a debit card, and even a building access card for students living in our residence halls.
Dining points can be used in the University Grounds Coffee Shop, the Library Bistro, and the Food Court. Dining points may be purchased in various amounts to suit your dining needs. We offer the following amounts:
- $50 = 52 points (earns an additional free 2 points or 4% savings)
- $100 = 105 points (earns an additional free 5 points or 5% savings)
- $300 = 330 points (earns an additional free 30 points or 10% savings)
- $400 = 450 points (earns an additional free 50 points or 13% savings)
- $600 = 690 points (earns an additional free 90 points or 15% savings)
($600 plan not recommended for purchase January through the end of the spring term)
Meal plan points may be rolled over during the academic year. Points will expire August 31 if a new meal plan for the next academic year is not purchased between July 1 and August 31.
Each apartment has a full kitchen with standard appliances, but if you don’t feel like cooking there are several on-campus dining options and healthy choices.
The most popular place to dine is our campus commons, a café-style dining area conveniently located in the center of campus overlooking the lake. Here you can help yourself to an assortment of fresh food, including grilled specials, soups, salads, sandwiches, and entrees.
The University Grounds Coffee Shop is laid back and modern, and offers almost every coffee drink imaginable. Plus it serves coffee-free drink options and breakfast snacks.
The Library Bistro is a quiet spot that mixes the best of all worlds: it’s part coffee shop, part sandwich station. It’s the perfect place to grab a snack during a study break.
