Access to technology is critically important for people with disabilities to succeed in work, in school and in community activities. The Adaptive Technology Center (ATC) at the Indiana University Southeast Library strengthens our community with the powerful idea of access for all, and will allow everyone in the Southern Indiana community to access a world of information in one of the region's newest and most high-tech libraries.
The purpose of the ATC is to help people with disabilities of all ages throughout the community enhance their lives and increase their independence and productivity through the use of leading-edge technology.
The ATC is equipped with two top-of-the-line Dell computers with large monitors and user-friendly mice and keyboards. In addition, the new equipment is on tables that allow simple electronic adjustments for the user.
A wide variety of software is available to the patrons of the ATC. If you need training on any of the software, please let one of the librarians know and he or she will arrange a time for you to meet with an instructor for one-on-one training on the software that will benefit you the most in achieving your academic or personal goals.
