Looking for a fast introduction to the IU Southeast Library? Take a beginner's tour of the Library here!
To find books, use IUCAT Library Catalog.
To find articles, use one of our periodical indexes. (A good place to start is Academic Search Premier).
Beginner's Guide to Academic Search
Once you retrieve the books or other materials you want to check out, bring them to the Circulation Desk and present your IUS ID card. Books will be checked out to you for 45 days. Although there is an overdue fine policy, you may renew your materials in person, by phone, online in IUCAT, or by mail. There is no limit to the number of books you may check out.
You may borrow books from other IU libraries easily and quickly using the "Request Delivery" option in IUCAT. (See a Reference Librarian for help with this.) Articles and books not available within IU may be acquired through our Interlibrary Loan system.
At any time during library hours, consult with a Reference Librarian at the Reference Desk or by phone at (812) 941-2489.
