Admission to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program

Admission to the School of Nursing is a two-step process. Students must first be admitted to Indiana University Southeast and take pre-nursing general education courses. Admission requirements for IU Southeast may be accessed at admission standards. IU Southeast has adopted general education requirements that must be completed to earn a degree.

Students admitted to IU Southeast may apply to the School of Nursing for competitive admission upon completion of all prerequisite courses. Applications to the School of Nursing may be obtained in the School of Nursing Office, LF Room 276, in February of each academic year.

Students anticipating application to the School of Nursing must be advised by the pre-nursing academic advisor  in the Academic Success Center. Contact the advisor by calling (812) 941-2243.

The RN-BSN academic program has different admission requirements.
