What can you do with a philosophy major?

The right question is "What can't you do with a philosophy major?" Many students are attracted to the intellectually demanding work that sets philosophy apart from most majors. However, they often ask what they can do with a philosophy major.

The fact is that, given the philosophy program's emphasis on analytical thinking, moral reasoning, and critical writing and speaking, our majors are well prepared to succeed in whatever profession they choose. Undergraduate philosophy majors work in virtually every profession and field of endeavor.
