Enrollment and Degree Verification
The office of the Registrar is the official certifying body for verification of academic record information to agencies responsible for loan deferments, insurance companies, and other agencies that provide student benefits based on enrollment.
As of Fall 2007 Indiana University Southeast (IUS) partnered with the National Student Clearinghouse to provide enrollment verification information for loan deferment. As of June 2008, IUS also partnered with the National Student Clearinghouse for processing of all degree verification requests.
Acting as the University's agent, the National Student Clearinghouse data is based on official IUS student records. Information about what has been shared with external agencies including lenders is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year from the National Student Clearinghouse Web site.
Academic record information, available for verification, may include prior and/or current enrollment, enrollment status (full-time, part-time), grades, GPA, and final degree conferral. Enrollment information is available for certification at the end the 100% refund period for a particular term.
Enrollment cannot be certified for future terms even if a student has already registered for classes and paid for the term. Enrollments cannot be verified until after the first week of classes.
It is important for students to keep their anticipated graduation date current as this information is used by lending agencies as part of deferment processing.
Current students who simply want an unofficial copy of their course schedule or transcript may obtain one without charge through OneStart.
How do I obtain an enrollment of degree verification?
(for IUS students)
Enrollment and Degree Verifications may be obtained in person by bringing photo identification or by mailing / faxing a Verification Request Form.

How do I obtain an enrollment or degree verification?

You will need to visit the National Student Clearinghouse web site at www.degreeverify.org for service 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
If you need assistance, contact National Student Clearinghouse directly at 703-742-4200. A fee will be collected for this service. Their customer service has hours of (Eastern Time Zone):
Mondays through Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
If National Student Clearinghouse can confirm the degree or enrollment, the response is immediate and requestors will be able to print and/or obtain a PDF version of the verification.
Enrollment verifications for each term will be available starting on the second week of classes for that term.

View Your Unofficial Transcript of Current Class Schedule Online
Use OneStart, the university's web-based student information service, to view your IU academic [unofficial] transcript and / or your class schedule. In order to use OneStart you must be a current (or recent) student with a valid network username and password. Instructions on how to obtain a copy of your "official" transcript are available online.
