ACT

The ACT is designed to assess the general educational development of high school students and their ability to complete college-level work. The test covers four areas: English, mathematics, reading, and science. There are two options for taking the test listed below.
ACT Residual Testing
Students wanting to attend IU Southeast may take the ACT Residual in the Student Development Center (SDC). Do not register for the exam on the ACT website; we schedule appointments on an individual basis here in the SDC. There is a fee for the exam. Click the link below and select "ACT Residual $55.00" from the drop-down menu. You must bring your printed receipt to the test session.
We cannot release your ACT Residual scores to any other college or university.
The ACT Residual is identical to the ACT Assessment. The optional essay is not required at IU Southeast. Please talk to an IU Southeast admission counselor before you schedule the ACT Residual.
ACT Assessment Testing
IU Southeast hosts the ACT Assessment on the dates below. These are large, group sessions, and you must schedule your test online. If you need more information about the ACT Assessment, follow the link to the ACT web site, where you can register online and order test preparation materials.
