The Student Development Center (SDC), in cooperation with IU Southeast Computer Services, sponsors several workshops to help students prepare to use the technology necessary for their college experience. An introductory workshop on the basics of using Microsoft Word. Topics covered in this course include creating a document, using footnotes, using page numbering, changing margin settings, using spell checking, and much more.
Introduction to the Internet

This workshop covers searching for and retrieving academic information from the Internet. The basics of Net surfing will be covered. Also there will be an introduction to the basics of the electronic mail program used on campus.
Microsoft Excel

This workshop will teach you how to set up a basic spreadsheet, understand columns and rows, enter formulas, make calculations and create a graph using the data in the spreadsheet.
Microsoft PowerPoint

You will learn how to create a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation, a skill that you will be able to use in your classes and professional life.
