Adam Woeppel Fine Arts Scholarship up to $ 500 Recipient must have minimum 3.0 GPA in all Fine Arts coursework; preference given to student in any Fine Arts studio concentration who have completed all of their foundation courses, three of their 200 level studios and at least one 300 level studio in their concentration.  Students pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Studio Major are eligible for this Scholarship.  Financial need considered, as measured by the FAFSA, but will not be a determining factor
Altrusa Club of New Albany $ 500 Female adult student, good academic record, undergraduate or graduate student,part-time or full-time status. Must reappy each year.
Balfour Scholarship up to $2,000 Incoming freshman with 1300+ SAT or equivalent ACT, rank in upper 10% of class. May be renewable for four (4) years with 3.5 GPA.
Black Achievers Scholarship up to $2,000 Must have SAT of 1000 or ACT of 20, GPA 2.5, gain regular admission to IU Southeast. Must be a Louisville Black Achiever Program participant.
Bryon F. Laird Scholarship up to $500 Students who have completed 24 credit hours. Based on scholastic achievement and financial need, as measured by the FAFSA.
Burns-Marshall Memorial (Mary E. Burns) Scholarship up to $1,000 Graduate of a Washington County High School. Consideration given based on demonstrated scholastic ability and financial need, as measured by the FAFSA.
Carol Bishop Scholarship up to $1,000 Literature major in English. Must have taken 2 courses in literature, one at 300 level. Registered in at least 6 hours a semester. Minimum 3.0 GPA overall, minimum 3.5 GPA in major.
Chancellor's Medallion Leadership Award up to $6,000 (based on tuition)

Awarded by the chancellor. Students who will be a senior in the upcoming academic year and will be enrolled full-time are eligible to apply. Students must fill out a separate application, and list:

  1. the extra-curricular activities they are participating in at IU Southeast and any offices held or special accomplishments in those organizations
  2. extra-curricular and leadership activities in which they participated in high school
  3. civic and non-university volunteer activities in which they have participated
  4. any awards or special recognitions they have received in connection with the above.
  5. at least 3 letters of recommendation from former professors or teachers and/or community leaders.
Chancellor's Student Leader Scholarship up to $3,500

The Chancellor's Student Leader Scholarship is an award for outstanding, civic-minded sophomores and juniors who will be attending IU Southeast in fall 2012 and spring 2013.  This student must have demonstrated the notion of good citizenship by being active in their school and local community and exhibited a concern for others in their community and in the world through their activities.  Students must fill out a separate application and list:

  1. Brief statement of philosophy of service
  2. Listing of community service activities (college and high school)
  3. Listing of extra-curricular activities (college and high school)
  4. Two (2) letters of recommendation:
    • 1st - a supervisor / organizer of a community service project in which the student was  recently involved
    • 2nd  -  a professor who knows the student well  

Charles Jacot Scholarship

For deserving students with financial need, as measured by the FAFSA.

Charles M. Malott Scholarship up to $500 Students who are studiously inclined to obtain an undergraduate degree and have financial need, as measured by the FAFSA.
Coca-Cola Foundation Scholarship up to $2,500 KY resident admitted to IU Southeast. Enroll and maintain full-time status, have and maintain GPA of 2.5. Financial need considered, as measured by the FAFSA. Scholarship for tuition and fees only.
Colin C. Griffaw Scholarship $500 Graduating senior from New Albany High School enrolling full-time at IU Southeast immediately following high school graduation; must have 2.5 GPA; involved in activities both in and out of high school; financial need considered, as measured by FAFSA, but not determining factor.
Cressy T. Havens Scholarship up to $500 Students with high scholastic ability.
Della Evans Scholarship up to $2,000 Incoming freshman with 1300+ SAT or equivalent ACT and rank in upper 10% of class. May be renewable up to four (4) years with 3.5 GPA.
Donald R. LaFollette Scholarship Up to $1,000 For students at Floyd Central and New Albany High School, on alternating years (2007-2008=New Albany High School). Must have leadership ability; active involvement in high school activities of a leadership variety. Must have evidence that the individual has cared for and is concerned about helping others. Must plan to attend IU Southeast for at least two (2) semesters. Financial need or academic major or field of study not considered. Must have cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
Dr. Sharon Waggoner Scholarship up to $1,000 For outstanding foreign language student, who has completed two(2)semesters of foreign language study at IU Southeast.
Ed Quinn Memorial Award Varies Undergraduate student at IU Southeast, provide academic related activities such as travel to workshops or conventions, study abroad, library research or internships based upon an application process. Award determined by a faculty advisory group.
Elsie V. Coleman Scholarship up to $1,000 New Albany High School graduate, in upper 1/2 of graduating class. Must have been admitted to freshman class at IU Southeast. Financial need may be considered as measured by the FAFSA, filed application with New Albany High School Honors and Awards Committee.
F. C. Richardson Honor Scholarship up to $1,000 Consideration given to those who have earned a 3.0+ high school GPA and 990+ SAT or 21+ ACT, demonstrate leadership potential through prior activities as attested by their teachers and community leaders.
George F. Lumley, Jr. Memorial Scholarship up to $500 Incoming freshman with minimum 3.0 GPA in high school, 990 or above on SAT or 21 or above on ACT. May be renewable up to four (4) years with 3.3 GPA.
Harold L. Lacy Scholarship up to $ 2,500 Graduating senior of Clarksville High School. Recipient must have been residing for at least six (6) months with a single, divorced or widowed parent, grandparent, aunt or uncle, creating a need for financial assistance.  Financial need must be demonstrated, as measured by the FAFSA.
Harrison County REMC Scholarship Up to $1,000 High school senior, admitted as IU Southeast full-time student whose parent or guardian is currently receiving electric service from the Harrison County REMC. SAT scores and overall scholastic achievement considered. Selected by IU Southeast with REMC approval. Must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours. Requires a separate application. Helen Humphrey Scholarship up to $1,000 Graduates of Silver Creek High School, Sellersburg, Indiana. Awarded and renewed at discretion of high school administration. Must be enrolled full-time at IU Southeast. May be renewable with 2.0 GPA and full-time enrollment.
Herb E. Smith Scholarship $1,000 Must be a Crawford County high school student;be enrolled at least half-time at IU Southeast.
International Student Award up to $1,000 Incoming student on an F-1 student visa; full admission to IU Southeast; high scholastic ability.
International Student Recognition Scholarship up to $,1,000 Current undergraduate on an F-1 student visa; must have taken at least 24 hours at IU Southeast; must have at least a 3.0 GPA; all F-1 students will be considered each year.
IU Endowed Scholarship up to $500 High scholastic ability.
IUS McPheeters Scholarship up to $2,000 Undergraduate students from underrepresented minority background with a minimum 21 ACT/1000 SAT and 2.5 GPA are invited to apply through the admissions office. The scholarship award amount is based upon full-time or part-time enrollment and evenly disbursed between semesters.
IUS Paul Ogle Scholars Fund $6,000 Incoming freshman with minimum SAT score of 1300 or ACT score of 29. Must be enrolled and maintain full-time status. Scholarship to cover tuition and fees only and may be renewable for up to four (4) years with 3.5 GPA and full-time enrollment.  Preference given to Clark, Floyd, Harrison, Scott, Washington and Switzerland counties in Indiana.
IUS Paul Kevin Nutter Scholarship $500

Recipient must be an incoming high school senior from Floyd Central with an overall minimum GPA of 2.5; preference given to students demonstrated, as measured by the FAFSA; must be enrolled full-time at IU Southeast; may be renewable up to four (4) years with a cumulative minimum GPA of 2.5.

Ivy Tech Community College Scholarship up to $2,000 Incoming transfer students from Ivy Tech Community College. Recipients are competitively selected based on academic records. Requires minimum 3.0 GPA and 50 hours completed at ITCC; all admission application materials must be received by May 1; scholarship application must be completed by May 1.
J. & F. M. Swain Scholarship up to $1,000 IN high school grads enrolling as freshman, and students of other classes who show greatest promise in force of character, leadership, physical vigor, scholastic ability, and attainments. Must have great financial need, as determined by the FAFSA.
James A. Poteet Memorial Scholarship up to $1,000 Undergraduate student enrolled in music at IU Southeast. Must have and maintain minimum 3.0 GPA. Financial need considered, as measured by the FAFSA, but not sole determining factor.
Jefferson Community and Technical College Scholarship up to $2,000 Incoming transfer students from Jefferson Community and Technical College. Recipients are competitively selected based on academic records. Requires minimum 3.0 GPA and 50 hours completed at JCTC; all admission application materials must be received by May 1; scholarship application must be completed by May 1.
John & Shirley Woehrle Scholarship up to $500 Incoming freshman who are graduates of Jeffersonville High School or Crawford County High School. Two candidates selected from Jeffersonville High School (one to be an athlete) and one candidate seleted from Crawford County High School.
John and Jane Tower Scholarship up to $1,000 Junior or senior with 3.3 GPA. Must have financial need, as determined by the FAFSA.
John Leuthart Scholarship up to $500 Residents of Clark or Floyd counties in Indiana. Enrolling full-time as a first year student at IU Southeast. High School GPA of 2.5 or above. Demonstrated financial need, as measured by the FAFSA. Half of scholarship to be disbursed in fall and other half in spring if student earns 2.5 or better GPA.
John Reisert Scholarship $5,000 must be resident of Floyd Co., IN; enrolled full-time; financial need, as measured by the FAFSA, considered but not sole determining factor; preference given to non-traditional students over age 22 and actively involved in community service and school activities. recipient must submit a biographical information sheet and photo to Horseshoe Foundation of Indiana.
Josephine A. Byron Memorial Scholarship up to $500 High scholastic ability.
Kennedy Huffman Business Scholarship up to $2,000 Students who are current or original residents of Spencer County. If no applicants from Spencer County, others will be considered. Academic achievement, financial need, as measured by FAFSA, and moral character maintained.
Lee Hamilton Scholars Award up to $2,500 Current resident of Indiana 9th Congressional District or the Kentucky counties served by IUS through Indiana reciprocity agreement. Must have and maintain minimum 3.0 GPA. Awards based on some evidence of campus community service and potential for future leadership. Financial need may be considered, but will not be the determining factor.
Leland Edward Ott and Evelyn Farrell Ott Scholarship up to $2,000

Recipients must have completed two (2) semesters at IU Southeast; preference given to Indiana residents; minimum 3.0 GPA; financial need must be demonstrated, as measured by the FAFSA. 

Lt. Col. William T. and Helen Payne Norman Scholarship up to $1,000 The recipient shall be one whose father or mother is a member of either Clark Lodge No. 40 or Jeffersonville Lodge No. 340, Free and Accepted Masons; or Jeffersonville Chapter 327 or Jeffersonville Bright Star Chapter No. 532, Order of Eastern Star. May be renewable for up to four (4) years with 2.5 GPA. Please contact Financial Aid Office for an application.
Martha Stem Scholarship up to $3,000 Enrolled full-time in the Music or Fine Arts programs, must remain in good standing with the Division. Scholarship to be used to cover only tuition, required books, fees, and supplies. Scholarship may be reduced when used with additional scholarships.
McPheeters Multicultural Scholarship up to $ 2,000 The McPheeters Multicultrual Scholarship is a competitive, up to four-year renewable award, contingent upon continuous enrollment at IU Southeast and a minimum cumulative IU Southeast GPA of 2.5 or b.  Please note that offers will only be made to undergraduate multicultural students who have been admitted to Indiana University Southeast.
Naomi K. Rasmussen Music Scholarship up to $5,000 Music awards will be given to students on the basis of audition and student's record of experience and success in musical performance. Grades, the strength of recommendations, and student's potential contribution to IU Southeast Music department will be considered.
Naomi K. Rasmussen Theatre Scholarship up to $5,000 Students applying for the Theatre Award will be selected on basis of past participation and success in theatrical production or performance. Audition/portfolio presentation required. Grades, the strength of recommendations, and student's potential contribution to IU Southeast Theatre department will be considered.
Nassim McMonigle & Mescia Pre-Medical Scholarship $1,000 For currently enrolled students who will be a senior at IU Southeast and planning to attend medical school in the fall immediately following graduation date; requires a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3; preference given to students who have taken the MCAT exam; financial need may be considered, as determined by the FAFSA, but not determining factor; requires essay submission as stated on separate application.
Outstanding Scholar Award up to $,1,500 Incoming Freshman with 1000+ SAT, 3.5 GPA and full-time enrollment.
Patricia Laughlan-Ireland Scholarship $ 500 Restricted to Harrison County residents; preference given to graduating high school seniors attending IU Southeast and pursuing a major in English.
Peer Mentor Scholarship up to $1,000 must be enrolled at IU Southeast with a Sophomore status or second year student with a cumulative GPA of 2.5. Additional documentation required are a written essay, interview with Director and letters of reference.
Prof. Ernest A. Smith Scholarship up to $1,250

Incoming freshman student at IU Southeast; must have attend and played a musical instrument in either the band or orchestra at Jeffersonville High School during junior and senior years; must be able to demonstrate proficiency in at least one instrument; recipient must attend IU Southeast in the fall immediately following their graduation from Jeffersonville High School and must attend at least one full academic year (two semesters).

Rebecca Jennings Scholarship up to $1,000 Outstanding fine arts students at IU Southeast.
Richard Reihl Memorial Scholarship 500

Graduate student majoring in education or undergraduate senior majoring in a medical field (alternating years- even numbered years awarded to education and odd numbered years awarded to medical field) .  Must have a 3.0 GPA; need may be considered but will not be a determining factor.

Robert J Wolf Scholarship up to $500 Provide scholarships to deserving students. Must have 3.3 GPA and full-time status.
Ruth Braeutigam Academic Scholarship $2,000 Junior status with a double major in Arts and Sciences, minimum GPA of 2.30. May be renewable for up to four (4) years with 3.0 GPA.
Ruth Wells Scholarship up to $500 High scholastic ability.
Salutatorian Scholarship up to $750 Incoming freshman designated as salutatorian of his or her graduating class. May be renewable up to four (4) years with 3.0 GPA and full-time enrollment. Documentation required.
Schansberg String Scholarship up to $400 Students are not required to be music majors, but must be a member of the string section of the orchestra. Competitive by audition.
Scholastic Excellence Scholarship up to $3,000 Consideration given to those who have earned a score of 1300 on the SAT or ACT of 29. May be renewable up to 4 years with 3.5 GPA and full-time enrollment.
Sean Paul Charles Scholarship up to $3,500 North Harrison High School graduating senior, accepted to IU Southeast, who will be enrolled full-time, financial need, good academic standing and character, aptitude for written communications as demonstrated by an essay. Selected by North Harrison High School. Must have FAFSA on file. May be renewable up to four (4) years with 2.75 GPA.
Student Alumni Association (SAA) Scholarship up to $350 Must be an active SAA member for at least one(1)semester; be elected to an officer position and meet position requirements as listed on the application; maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA; award given only in spring semester.
Thelma B. Alford Scholarship up to $2,500 Eligibility based on financial need, as measured by the FAFSA. Full-time enrollment is required and 3.0 GPA.
Transfer Scholarship up to $1,000 Incoming transfer students. Recipients are competitively selected based on academic records. Requires minimum 3.0 GPA and full admission; all admission application materials must be received by May 1; scholarship application must be completed by May 1.
Uriah & Estella Thompson Scholarship up to $250

Special consideration given to underrepresented populations including but not limited to financially challenged students, and/or students with diverse cultural experiences; must have minimum 2.7 cumulative GPA; completed at least 12 credit hours at IU Southeast; be a member of one registered student organization and complete a 500-1,000 word essay "How my choice of major will impact my future career goals."

Valedictorian Scholarship up to $1,500 Incoming freshman designated as valedictorian of his or her graduating class. May be renewable up to 4 years with 3.5 GPA and full-time enrollment. Documentation required.
W. Fred Hale Memorial Scholarship up to $1,000 Junior or senior in Continuing Studies at IU Southeast. Must be a resident of Floyd or Clark counties in Indiana. Non-traditional students over the age of 22 considered. Seeking a general studies degree, GPA taken into consideration.
Wil Greckel Scholarship in Music Varies Enrolled at IU Southeast as a music major; financial need considered, as measured by the FAFSA, but not determing factor; musical ability and academic merit also considered.
William & Claire Hamerly Memorial Scholarship up to $500 Resident of Floyd County, Indiana, attending Indiana University Southeast.
William Glen Bruner Memorial Scholarship up to $5,000 High School senior who is a dependent of a current or retired member of the New Albany Police Department. Financial need considered as measured by the FAFSA. May be renewble up to four (4) years with full-time enrollment at IU Southeast and cumulative GPA of 2.5. Requires a separate application, verification of parent's employment with the New Albany Police Department and applicant's high school transcript.
William Lowe Bryan Scholarship up to $500 Awarded on the basis of scholastic ability, character, leadership and promise of future usefulness.

Ambassadorial Scholarship varies The purpose of the Ambassadorial Scholarships program is to further international understanding and friendly relations among people of different countries. The program sponsors several types of scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students as well as for qualified professionals pursuing vocational studies. While abroad, scholars serve as ambassadors of goodwill to the people of the host country and give presentations about their homelands to Rotary clubs and other groups.
