The Substitute Preschool Teacher shall:
• Be under the general supervision of the Preschool Site Director and is to cooperate in a loyal and efficient manner
• Will be responsible for assisting the classroom teacher
• Shall care for and treat each child with dignity and respect
• Shall assist the children in getting prepared to leave in the afternoon
• Shall assist the classroom teacher when needed for the following: break, gathering of supplies/materials, emergency situation involving a child
• Shall keep the pre-school classroom properly stocked with paper goods needed for snack and lunch
• Shall help in preparation of necessary materials for lessons/activities
• Shall participate in recommended training programs, workshops, courses, and other aspect so professional growth as needed in order to maintain certification
• Shall assure each child he/she is loved, that they have value, that God made them special (II Tim. 2:15) and will pray for each teacher and student daily

Instructors are needed for IU Southeast's Project AHEAD, an enrichment program for academically talented children in grades 2-6.
REQUIREMENTS: experience working with children; pass a criminal background check. Desired, but not necessary: a teaching license; experience working with Gifted and Talented children.
Instructors would teach one or two courses, each meeting for two hours on four consecutive Saturdays: 10/26, 11/2, 9, & 16; 8:30--10:30 and/or 10:45--12:45. Stipend is $250 per course, with a maximum of two courses.
APPLICATION: send cover letter, resume, and a brief description of each proposed course: title, what would be covered in each of the four course meetings, and desired grade level (2, 3-4, 5-6). Courses are to be interesting and challenging--something the children might not likey learn in the regular school curriculum. One may propose as many courses as desired.
