E-2. Committees and Partners

The Office of Information Technology works with campus committees and partners to ensure appropriate use of funds and best practices in the use of technology.

Student Technology Fee (STF) Committee

The Student Technology Fee Committee meets periodically through the academic year to review IT proposals for the use of STF funds and discuss the fee rate. Committee membership consists of students, faculty, and IT staff.  The Student Government Association selects the student representative, while the Faculty Senate selects the faculty representative.

Faculty Senate IT Committee

IT provides a pool of funds to the schools each fiscal year for special software and hardware purchases. A subcommittee of the Faculty Senate receives proposals for the use of these funds and, in consultation with IT, ensures consistency and compatibility with other IT deployments, then reviews and prioritizes the requests. For a list of current members of this committee, visit the Faculty Senate Committees webpage.

ILTE (Institute for Learning & Teaching Excellence) Partnership

ILTE is the center for teaching and learning at IU Southeast. IT works closely with the ILTE director and teaching consultants to track faculty needs and pilot new teaching technologies. The partnership also includes review and improvement of campus learning spaces, in collaboration with the UITS Learning Technologies division.  For additional information, visit the University Information Technology Services Learning Technologies webpage.
