Scores from either the SAT or ACT are required for those applicants who graduated from high school within the past two years - or who completed a GED and are 19 years of age or younger. Students who have been out of high school for over two years and do not meet the minimum requirements listed for traditional students may be asked to arrange for an interview with an admissions counselor to demonstrate intention through maturity and experience.

GED Student Admission Standards
IU Southeast welcomes students who have successfully completed the GED. A minimum score of 50 or 500 (depending upon the year you completed the GED) is required for admission.
Home Schooled Students
Homeschooled students are held to our regular admission standards. We require a transcript from the homeschool, listing all coursework taken by semester and cumulative grade point average. It is expected that students complete college preparatory coursework. Visit the Indiana Department of Education to find courses required for an Indiana Core 40 diploma. As an alternative, homeschooled students may choose to complete a GED.
Criminal Discolsure Policy
As part of the admission process, all applicants to the IU Southeast campus are required to disclose certain types of criminal activity and disciplinary actions taken at previous institutions. An applicant's signature on the admission application grants IU permission to investigate criminal or educational disciplinary background if necessary. Failure to provide accurate or complete information on the application will make the applicant ineligible for admission, or subject to cancellation of admission if admission has already been granted or dismissal if already enrolled
