Transfer Students - Apply 
Apply for Admission
Applications are processed as they are received and you are encouraged to apply as early as possible.
New transfer students will need to submit:
- The Application for Admission
- Download the Application to your desktop (PDF Format. You will need Acrobat Reader to view it.) or
- Apply Online (A credit card is required in order to submit this application.)
- One-time $30 undergraduate application fee (Apply Online Applicants will pay this fee when submitting their application.)
- Official college transcript(s) from all institutions attended.
- If you have earned less than 26 hours of college transfer credit, high school transcripts or GED test scores are required as well as SAT or ACT scores if you have been out of high school less than 2 years.
To check on your application status, please visit OneStart, create a guest account and click on the Self Service tab or call the Office of Admissions.
Students who have previously attended an IU campus and are returning as transfer students will need to submit:
- The Application for Admission (check "Returning Undergraduate Student")
- Download the Application to your desktop (PDF Format. You will need Acrobat Reader to view it.)
- Official college transcript(s) from all institutions attended since leaving IU Southeast.
Admission Standards
Transfer applicants are expected to have earned a cumulative college grade point average of 2.00 or higher on a 4.00 scale. Additionally, transfer applicants who have earned less than 26 semester hours are expected to meet the first year/freshman admission standards.
Transfer applicants are admitted to the academic schools at IU Southeast if they meet the established criteria. Transfer applicants who do not meet the criteria for direct admission to a specific school are admitted to the Academic Success Center.
Students who are not offered admission to IU Southeast are referred to the Partners program. Find more information about the program here.
Application Deadline
Applications for admission must be submitted 10 days prior to the beginning of the semester in which you plan to enroll.
Financial Aid Information
Transfer students are eligible for both financial aid and scholarships at IU Southeast

- Financial Aid All students applying for aid must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If you have already completed a FAFSA, you will need to list IU Southeast as the receiving school on the form.
- Scholarships The most current listing of scholarship opportunities and scholarship application can be downloaded from the Office of Financial Aid.
Transfer Scholarships
The following scholarships are available to students who begin their studies at IU Southeast in Spring, Summer or Fall 2011:
Ivy Tech Community College Transfer Scholarships - Several $2000 awards will be given to students who transfer from ITCC having completed 50 or more hours with a minimum 3.0 gpa. Students must be fully admissable and complete their application file and scholarship application by May 1.
Jefferson Community and Technical College Transfer Scholarships - Several $2000 awards will be given to students who transfer from JCTC having completed 50 or more hours with a minimum 3.0 gpa. Students must be fully admissable and complete their application file and scholarship application by May 1.
Transfer Student Scholarships - Several $1000 awards will be given to fully admissable Transfer students with a minimum 3.0 gpa.
