Advertising at IU Southeast continues to gain interest and students. At the most recent count, thirty students are majoring in advertising at IU Southeast. Several of the new advertising students launched the first membership drive for an advertising club.

Proving to be an interest to both day and evening students, the club has decided to schedule future meetings on Thursday evenings to allow all those interested to attend.

In addition, the new student organization, newly named the Ad Club, actively seeks and posts internship positions. The internship opportunities will be posted on the advertising web site as they become available.

The advertising club has grown over the past few weeks, and it will soon be able to fully accredited by the American Advertising Federation (AAF). Being accepted into this elite organization makes the Ad Club more attractive for IU Southeast students because of the respect an affiliation with this AAF. The professional organization receives respect in the business community.

Through workshops, guest speakers, and contests, the members of the Ad Club have made it their goal to help each advertising major fulfill his/her academic and professional goals.

For those advertising majors graduating in spring, there will be countless job opportunities available within the Louisville metropolitan area.
