ENG-G 207 English Grammar and Usage (3 cr.)
P: ENG-W 131 with a grade of C or higher. A brief look at English grammar, with emphasis upon current American usage; students will review verb usage, subject-verb agreement, pronoun usage, modifier usage, punctionation, and sentence structure.
ENG-G 301 History of the English Language (3 cr.)
P: ENG-W 131 with a grade of C or higher. Historical and structural analysis of English language in stages of its development. Political and social events affecting development of language, interrelationship of language and literature, evolution of modern phonology and syntax.
