2007-08 Grenadier
Men’s Tennis
May 27, 2008 – Kevin Sacksteder a senior at Male High School in Louisville, Ky.
has verbally committed to play tennis at IU Southeast next fall. Sacksteder
was the No. 2 singles player on his high school team this past season. He is
also ranked in the top 100 Kentucky 18-year olds in the USTA tennis rankings.
Kevin will follow in the footsteps of his father, Tom Sacksteder, who also
played college tennis at IU Southeast in New Albany.
May 27, 2008 – Congratulations
to Adam Denney, Collin Gentry and Jordan Hamilton on being named to the 2008
KIAC All-Scholar Team with a cumulative 3.25 GPA or higher.
May 3, 2008 – The IU Southeast men’s tennis season came to a close on Friday when the
team fell 5-3 to Milligan College in the NAIA Region XII Semifinals. The
Grenadiers finished the season 14-4 overall and 5-0 in the KIAC. The team won
the KIAC Championship and Yancey Walters was named KIAC Coach of the Year
while Jordan Hamilton was named KIAC Player of the Year. Congrats on another
successful season!
April 26 – Congratulations to the IU Southeast Men’s Tennis team for
winning the 2008 KIAC Tennis Tournament 8-1 over Asbury College on Saturday.
Grenadier Head Coach Yancey Walters was named KIAC Coach of the Year while
Jordan Hamilton was named KIAC Player of the Year. ( RESULTS

April 16 – The IU Southeast men’s tennis team has been ranked No. 4 in
the NAIA Region XII in all four spring rakings so far this year. The
Grenadiers are currently 7-3 overall and 1-0 in the KIAC.
April 7 – Congratulations to Jordan Hamilton for being named Arby’s Player of the
Week.
February 23 – IU Southeast fell 9-0 to Bellarmine University on Saturday in
Louisville, Ky. The Grenadiers (2-3, 0-0 KIAC) will be back in action next
Saturday, March 1 when the team travels to take on Oakland City University
for an 11 a.m. match. ( Match

September 29 – IU Southeast fell to Taylor University 8-1 on Saturday
afternoon to earn their first loss of the season. The Grenadiers will be back
in action on October 6th when they play Huntington

Congratulations to the IU Southeast Men’s
Tennis Team for winning the 2008 KIAC
Men’s Tennis Tournament.
Head Coach Yancey Walters was named KIAC Coach of the
Year while Jordan Hamilton was named KIAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Year. The
rest of the members of the tennis team
earned All-KIAC honors.
