August 20, 2008 – The IU Southeast Baseball informational meeting for newcomers,
returning players, and those interested in trying out is set for Tuesday,
August 26 at 4 p.m. in University Center (UC) Room 127. This is a mandatory
meeting if you want to try-out for the 2009 team.
July 17, 2008 – Ben Reel
named new Head Baseball Coach at IU Southeast. Reel takes over the baseball
program at his alma mater. ( News Release )
May 27, 2008 – Congratulations
to Brandon Hogan, Chancey May and Dan McDonald on being named to the 2008
KIAC All-Scholar Team with a cumulative 3.25 GPA or higher.
May 7, 2008 – IU
Southeast fell to Union College 6-1 in the first round of the NAIA Region XII
Baseball tournament in Kingsport, Tenn. The Grenadiers will now face the
loser of Tennessee Wesleyan and Brescia University in an elimination game on

Player and Pitcher of the Week!
May 4, 2008 – Congratulations to Beau Manning, Ben Wyatt, Brad
Nickles, Adam Lipke, and Shane Zoeller for being named 1st Team
KIAC All-Conference. Mark Abell, Brandon Hogan, Drew Locascio, Randy Koch,
Brad Nickles, Kris Eschman and Derek Decker have been named 2nd
Team KIAC All-Conference. Great job guys!
May 4, 2008 – Grenadier Head Coach Josh Schultz has been named KIAC
Coach of the Year in his second year coaching in the league!
May 3, 2008 – Congratulations to IU Southeast for winning the 2008
KIAC Baseball Tournament in Berea, Kentucky. The Grenadiers defeated Brescia
University 14-0 in the championship game on Saturday. The team will be back
in action when they compete in the NAIA Region XII Tournament in Kingsport,
Tennessee beginning on Thursday.
April 25, 2008 – IU Southeast defeated Spalding University 7-3 on
Friday afternoon. With the win, the Grenadiers finish their regular season
with an overall record of 27-22-1 and 12-2-1 in the KIAC. The team will
travel to Berea College next Thursday (5/1/08) to begin play in the KIAC
conference baseball tournament. More information about the tournament will be
available later this week at www.KIACsports.com
April 20, 2008 – IU Southeast split with Oakland City University on
Sunday by winning the first game 3-2 and losing the second 11-6. Seven
seniors were also honored between games for their service to the team and
university. The Grenadiers (25-21-1, 12-2-1 KIAC) will be back in action on
Tuesday when they travel to Pikeville College for a double header beginning
at 1 p.m.
April 8, 2008 – Congratulations to Ben Wyatt on being named KIAC and
NAIA Region XII Player of the Week!

April 5, 2008 – IU Southeast defeated Asbury College 13-3 and 9-8 on
Saturday afternoon to improve to 17-12-1 on the year and 5-0-1 in the KIAC.
The Grenadiers will hit the road on Sunday for a double header with Oakland
City University at 1 p.m. EST. The Grenadiers will return home on Monday for
a conference double header with Asbury set for 2 p.m. EST.
