March 12, 2008 – The Grenadiers’ 2007-08 season came to a close on Wednesday night with a 91-82 loss to No. 10-seed College of the Ozarks (Mo.) in the first round of the NAIA National Tournament in Point Lookout, Mo. The Grenadiers (24-9, 9-0 KIAC) fell to the tournament host Bobcats who forced the Grenadiers into committing 15 turnovers. Jazzmar Ferguson led IU Southeast with 18 points and three rebounds. Congratulations guys on a tremendous season and a KIAC title!

March 5, 2008 – IU Southeast will play the No.10-seed and tournament host College of the Ozarks (Mo.) at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12 in the first round of the NAIA Division II National Championship. Click here for a complete bracket. ( News Release )

March 4, 2008 – Congratulations to Derick Hobbs for being named this week’s KIAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week!

March 1, 2008 – Congratulations to the Indiana University Southeast Men’s Basketball team on winning the 2008 KIAC Conference Championship. The Grenadiers defeated No. 2 Berea College on Saturday night 84-73 to earn the title. Jazzmarr Ferguson led the Grenadiers with 18 points and three rebounds while Carlos Mitchell added 17 points and three steals. IU Southeast (24-8, 9-0 KIAC) will now advance to the NAIA National Tournament in Point Lookout, Missouri beginning on Tuesday, March 12.

Feb. 29, 2008 – Congratulations to Craig Bryant on being named the KIAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Year! Bryant, DeJon Gary and Carlos Mitchell were all named KIAC All-Conference. Congratulations Guys!

Feb. 29, 2008 – IU Southeast defeated Asbury College in the semifinals of the KIAC Men’s Basketball Tournament on Friday 78-72. The team was led by Derick Hobbs with 19 points and four rebounds. With the win, the Grenadiers move on to the KIAC Championship game on Saturday at 8 p.m in Wilmore, Kentucky. Feb. 23, 2008 – IU Southeast defeated Asbury College 70-65 on Saturday afternoon to finish the regular season 22-8 and a perfect 9-0 in the KIAC. The Grenadiers were led by Carlos Mitchell with 13 points, six assists and five rebounds. Charlie Gonzalez and Craig Bryant also each added 11 points each for the Grenadiers. Feb. 19, 2008 – Congratulations to Derick Hobbs for being named this week’s KIAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week!

Feb. 16, 2008 – IU Southeast clinched the regular season KIAC title on Saturday with a win over Berea College 90-64. The Grenadiers (21-8, 8-0 KIAC) were led by Derick Hobbs with 24 points and three assists. With the win, the Grenadiers earn the No. 1-seed in the KIAC conference tournament in two weeks in Wilmore, Kentucky. IU Southeast will finish up its regular season next Saturday when it hosts Asbury College at 3 p.m. as apart of 2008 IU Southeast Homecoming festivities. All fans are encouraged to wear white on Saturday as we “white out” the Activities Building.

Feb. 13, 2008 – IU Southeast dismantled IU East 141-81 on Wednesday night in Richmond, Indiana. The Grenadiers (20-8, 7-0 KIAC), who moved up to 28th (receiving 74 votes) in the country in the most recent NAIA DII Men’s Basketball Poll were led by Jazzmar Ferguson with a season-high 32 points, 10 assists and six steals. The team shot 59 percent from the field and 53 percent from behind the arc to defeat the Pioneers from IU East. IU Southeast will be back in action on Saturday (Feb. 16) when it hosts Berea College for a 3 p.m. home conference game in New Albany. ( Box Score )

Feb. 10, 2008 – Congratulations to Charlie Gonzalez for being named this week’s Arby’s Player of the Week.

Feb. 9, 2008 – IU Southeast defeated Asbury College 100-72 on Saturday afternoon. With the victory, IU Southeast improves its overall record to 19-8 and 6-0 in the KIAC. The Grenadiers were led by Derick Hobbs with 21 points and three rebounds. Jazzmar Ferguson added 18 points for IU Southeast with five assists. The Grenadiers will return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Richmond, Indiana to take on IU East for a 7 p.m. game. ( Box Score )

Feb. 5, 2008 – IU Southeast squeaked out a victory over Spalding University on Tuesday night 57-56 in Louisville. The Grenadiers were led by Charlie Gonzalez with 20 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks. Gonzalez earned his second double-double in as many starts with his tremendous effort. Craig Bryant also added 14 points for IU Southeast in 31 minutes. The team will be back in action on Saturday when they travel Asbury College for a 3 p.m. conference game. ( Box Score )

Feb. 2, 2008 – IU Southeast defeated Alice Lloyd College 69-55 on Saturday afternoon to improve to 17-8 overall and 5-0 in the KIAC. The Grenadiers were led by Charlie Gonzalez with a career-high 16 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks. His outstanding play earned him his first double-double of the season. Three other Grenadiers scored in double-digits to guide the squad to victory. The Grenadiers will be back in action on Tuesday night when they travel to Spalding University for a 7:30 p.m. tipoff.
