July 29, 2008 – Paige Dickey and Brittany Bennett both represented the United States this summer in Spain. The two made the trip with Head Coach Todd Buckingham and other athletes and coaches from the United States. ( More Information )

May 17, 2008 – The 2008 IU Southeast softball season ended on Saturday night after a hard fought battle with Dickinson State (N.D.). The Grenadiers fell to the Blue Hawks 8-0 in the last game of pool play at the NAIA National Softball Tournament in Decatur, Alabama. IU Southeast finishes this season with a 33-15 overall record and 14-6 record in the KIAC. The 2008 Grenadiers won titles in both the KIAC and NAIA Region XII. Congratulations on a terrific season! We are all proud.

May 17, 2008 – IU Southeast fell to Bethel College (Ind.) on Saturday afternoon 11-2. The Grenadiers just could not hold off the hot bats of Bethel. The loss prevents IU Southeast (33-14) from advancing out of pool play in the 2008 NAIA National Championship. The Grenadiers will finish up their tournament appearance later tonight when they play Dickinson State (N.D.) at 7 p.m. CT.          ( Game Results )

May 16, 2008 – IU Southeast could not hold off Shorter College (Ga.) in the second game of pool play on Friday night at the NAIA National Tournament in Decatur, Alabama. The Grenadiers fell to Shorter 14-5. IU Southeast (33-13) will be back in action on Saturday morning when it faces off with Bethel College (Ind.) at 11:30 a.m. CT.

May 16, 2008 – IU Southeast fell to the No. 1-ranked California Baptist 6-3 during the first game of the NAIA National Championship in Decatur, Alabama. The Grenadiers (33-12) will face Shorter College (Ga.) tonight at 6:30 p.m. CT for game two of pool play.

May 16, 2008 – Due to inclement weather in Decatur, Alabama on Thursday, all of Friday’s games at the NAIA National Tournament have been pushed back two hours. IU Southeast will now play California Baptist at 11 a.m. CST and Shorter College at 6:30 p.m. CST. Please check back later for more information.

May 12, 2008 – The IU Southeast Softball program earned its first-ever NAIA Softball National Championship appearance by winning the NAIA Region XII Tournament on Saturday. The NAIA National Championship will begin on Thursday, May 16 at the Wilson Morgan Softball Complex in Decatur, Alabama. The Grenadiers will join 19 other teams from around the nation to compete for the national championship. All teams will compete in pool play on Friday and Saturday with the top two teams from each pool advancing to an eight-team double elimination tournament. IU Southeast will play California Baptist at 9 a.m. on Friday to begin pool play.

May 10, 2008 – IU Southeast split with UVa-Wise on Saturday to win the NAIA Region XII Championship. The Grenadiers fell to Wise 5-1 in the first game before charging back to win the second game 9-8. The win earns the team an automatic bid in the 20-team national tournament in Decatur, Alabama. The tournament begins on Friday, May 16 with pool play. May 10, 2008 – Congratulations to Shana Andres, Carmen Davis and Amber Chapman on being named to the All-NAIA Region XII team.

May 9, 2008 – IU Southeast defeated No. 2 UVa-Wise 4-3 on Friday afternoon to advance to the NAIA Region XII Championship game on Saturday at 11 a.m. EST. Check back later for more information or check out the NAIA Region XII webpage.

May 8, 2008 – Thursday’s games at the NAIA Region XII Softball Tourney in New Albany, Ind. Have been suspended for the day due to rain. Union College was winning 4-2 over Tennessee Wesleyan when the decision to suspend play was announced. The game will resume on Friday morning at 11 a.m. EST.
