2007-08 Grenadier
Women’s Tennis
May 3, 2008 – The IU Southeast women’s tennis season came to a close on Saturday
when the Grenadiers fell 5-0 to Union College in the championship game of the
NAIA Region XII Tournament. The team finished 11-5 overall on the season and
7-0 in the KIAC. Congratulations on an outstanding season.
April 26, 2008 – Congratulations to the IU Southeast women’s tennis
team for winning the 2008 KIAC Tennis Tournament in New Albany. The
Grenadiers won at every flighted position. Jillian Becher was also named KIAC
Tennis Player of the
Year during the tournament.

Oct. 21, 2007 – Congratulations to Britta Oliver for
being named this week’s Arby’s ®
Player of the Week!
Oct. 20, 2007 – IU Southeast defeated Berea College 9-0 on Saturday to
improve to 8-0 overall and 5-0 KIAC. With the victory the Grenadiers end
their fall season of competition. The Grenadiers will be back in action on
February 15, 2008 when they host Georgetown College at the Louisville Boat

Player of the Week!
September 27, 2007 – The Indiana University Southeast women’s tennis team
defeated Bellarmine University
6-3 on Thursday night to improve to
3-0, 1-0 KIAC.

September 14, 2007 – The Indiana University Southeast women’s tennis
team defeated Midway College on Friday afternoon 9-0. The Grenadiers are now
2-0 (1-0 KIAC) and will be back in action on Sunday when the team will
compete in the Franklin College Doubles Tournament.

September 13, 2007 – The Indiana University Southeast women’s tennis team defeated Hanover
College on Thursday afternoon 7-2 to earn the program its first win of the
season.

Sunday, September 2 – Congratulations to Nikki Cannon on
being named Arby’s® Player of the Week!
Cannon’s play during the IU Southeast Tennis Invitational Tournament earned
her this honor.

Friday, May 25 – Congratulations to Jenni Townsend and Jillian Becher on
being named NAIA Women’s Tennis All-American Honorable Mention. Special
congratulations are also extended to Leigh Butke and Townsend for being named
2007 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes. Great Job Ladies!
Friday, May 4 – The IU Southeast Women’s Tennis team defeated UVA-Wise
6-0 on Friday afternoon to advance to the championship game of the 2007 NAIA
Region XII Tournament. The Grenadiers (15-3) will face off with the winner of
Midway vs. Union College in the championship match Saturday morning
at 10:00 a.m. in Berea, Kentucky.
April 28, 2007 – Congratulations to the IU Southeast Women’s Tennis
Team for winning the 2007 KIAC Women’s Tennis Tournament at Berea College.
Head Coach Bill Ryall was named KIAC Coach of the Year
while Jenni Townsend was named KIAC Women’s
Tennis Player of the Year. The rest of
the members of the team earned All-KIAC honors.
