IUS provides an Associate of Science Degree and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree program for students interested in continuing their postgraduate education in the field of business. The M.B.A. program is primarily for persons employed in professional positions who seek to pursue an M.B.A. degree on a part-time basis.

The goals of the graduate business program are to increase the business professional's breadth of knowledge, to enhance the individual's ability to analyze business alternatives more thoroughly, and ultimately to enable that person to have a more productive career. These goals are achieved through a variety of activities that prepare students for accepting challenging and responsible positions in the business community.

Economics is the study of decision-making and public policy. The discipline is divided into two branches - macroeconomics and microeconomics. The Macroeconomics deals with the economy as a whole, including such topics as inflation, employment and unemployment, economic growth, productivity, the national debt, and the interaction among economies of different nations.

Microeconomics studies how society allocates scarce resources to meet the material desires of people. It also studies the decisions of buyers and sellers in product and labor markets. Special topics include labor economics, urban economics, and such headline issues as the environment, poverty, crime, health, education, and energy.

Here you will find a program that addresses issues that are of significance to accounting and corporate finance professionals. This contemporary program is uniquely designed to benefit those seeking careers in public accounting, and for finance and accounting professionals seeking careers in the private sector. For example, the M.S.F. prepares public accountants and corporate finance specialists by requiring coursework in corporate finance, information techology, project management, taxes, business analysis and valuation, accounting, and business strategy.

Through the elective phase, students have the opportunity to pursue traditional accounting courses, and course work in other areas that will enhance their professional preparation. The program allows public accounting professionals and corporate finance specialists to receive preparation in financial analysis, financial planning, financial reporting, strategic consulting, and systems consulting.
