Welcome

The IU Southeast Children’s Center offers quality child care to IU Southeast students, faculty and staff, with children ages two (potty trained) through the age of 12. As a drop-off center, service is provided until 8 pm (6 pm for Community members), four nights a week. The Center is open on Friday until 6 pm.

Thanks to a grant by the Student Government Association, the IU Southeast Children’s Center began in 1978. Operated by the university and funded through Student Activity Fees, we are the only university in the Southern Indiana/Louisville Metropolitan region offering on-site child care.

Social Studies

The Childrens Center will be constructing a life size teepee beginning in the middle of October, as the focus of the center’s Social Studies unit is Native Americans for the fall. Any donations of PVC pipe in all lengths, duck tape, material of any size/color/ texture and anthing you think we could use, please bring them the Children’s Center.
