National Mentoring Month Celebration The Center for Mentoring is having an Access to Success celebration and luncheon to recognize the success and accomplishments of alumni mentors. Come kick off the spring 2014 semester on Wed., Jan. 15 at 11:30am in Hoosier West.

Student Involvement Board Meeting The first Student Involvement Board meeting of the spring semester will be held on Wed., Jan. 15 at 12:20pm in UC121. Topics and discussions are vital for student organizations on campus. Attendance from each organization is highly recommended and open to all. Story 5 Thank Your Mentor How often have you thought about someone who encouraged you, gave you confidence, or pointed you in the right direction, but you regret never having said "thank you" Here's your chance to tell them how they made a difference in your life. On Thursday, January 16 make sure to thank your mentor!

Game Time Don't miss the Women's Basketball game on Tues., Jan. 14 at 7pm. Your Lady Grenadiers will take on Asbury in the Activities Building. This is a great chance for you to support your Grenadiers! Back in Action! Cheer on the Lady Grenadiers on Sat., Jan. 18 at 2pm as they take on Alice Lloyd in the Activities Building. You can catch the Men as they take on Alice Lloyd at 4pm. What a great way to spend your Saturday afternoon!

Grace Kelly Make sure to check out the music fusion master, Grace Kelly on Wed., Jan. 15 at 7:30pm in the Ogle Center. Kelly melds her background in jazz with groove and lots of world music presenting a fresh sound in an updated electric fashion promising dynamic and entertaining show! Tickets are $26.50 for the public, $20 for Different Drummer series subscribers. Students can stop by the Office of Campus Life in US 011 for a very special deal. Voices of Change The Department of Communication Studies and Campus Life are sponsoring the second annual speech contest on Wed., Jan. 22 at 7pm in UC127. Exemplary final persuasive speeches from spring 2013 and fall 2013 have been judged and the top five finalists have been selected for presentations. The speech topics will compel the audience to take personal action for the betterment of themselves and or society, reinforcing Martin Luther King Jr.'s advocacy of change through civil dialogue. Scholarship awards for top speakers will be presented. Center for Women and Families Meet Prevention Coordinator Lori Droege from the Center for Women and Families and learn about the services available on Tues., Jan. 14 at 12:15pm in the Student Involvement Center.
