Description
Key Roles (Essential Job Responsibilities):
Prepare Youth for Success
1) Plan and oversee the administration of designated Club programs and activities that support Youth Development Outcomes.
- Personally conduct age-appropriate group clubs, including those emphasizing education, technology and job-readiness.
- Establish Club program objectives consistent with organizational goals and mission.
- Oversee the provision of day-to-day program activities in accordance with established standards and goals.
- Ensure that members are encouraged to participate in a variety of program areas/activities and receive instruction and constructive feedback to develop skills in program area(s).
- Demonstrate leadership to assure conduct, safety and development of members.

Program Development and Implementation
2) Actively recruit teen members

3) Plan, organize and implement teen programs and activities for club members that will help young people access higher education opportunities and encourage them to pursue future careers.

4) Evaluate teen programs on a continual basis to ensure programs/activities respond to member needs and address their gender and cultural diversity.

5) Have a good understanding of program outcome measurement—how to develop outcomes, outputs and metrics for programs, and then successfully measure outcomes of current programs.

6) Oversee proper record keeping and reporting including activities and events conducted, breakdowns of daily participation figures, notable achievements and any problems/issues.

7) Control Club program and activity expenditures within approved budget.

8) Ensure a productive work environment by participating in weekly unit staff meetings.

9) Increase visibility of Club programs via posting of daily schedule, announcements of upcoming events internally & externally.

Partnership Development
10) Maintain relationships with schools and appropriate community agencies to assist with recruitment.

11) Develop collaborative partnerships with other youth serving organizations, members, parents, families and community organizations.

Technology
12) Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, and Outlook, and working understanding of Internet search functionality.

Additional Responsibilities:
1) May participate in special programs and/or events.
2) May be required to drive Club van.
3) All other duties as assigned by the Unit Director.

Relationships:
Internal: Maintains close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer), Club members, and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain guidelines/ instructions; instruct; and advise/counsel.
External: Maintains contact with external community groups, schools, members' parents and others to assist in resolving problems.

Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Experience in working with children.
- Knowledge of youth development.
- Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
- Ability to deal with the general public.
- Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth.
- Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.
- Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications.
- Valid State Drivers License
