Acquire new Courier-Journal subscribers through door-to-door targeting. Contact requirements: Reach the minimum number of potential customers per week in the door-to-door market. During the contact the DSR is expected to exhibit a high level of customer service skills, and knowledge of current campaign offers. Optimize customer's value through product education and matching appropriate packaging and specials to best suit the customer. Efficiently use latest technology to input sales daily, and track and report contacts, and knocks, via computer, voicemail or e-mail. Back-up paperwork will also be required to turn in on a weekly basis to the Direct Sales Manager. Report all feedback on market promotions and trends to the Direct Sales Manager. Maintain a 20-hour workweek with 18-hour field working and 2 hours reporting. Daily check-in with accurate reports and orders collected. Attend all sales meetings and training. Perform other duties as assigned.
Previous sales or customers service experience is preferred. Demonstrate above average presentation skills, good interpersonal communications, strong customer focus and empathy. Experience where persistence and resilience has been demonstrated. Demonstrate the ability to focus on achieving goals primarily through self management, self discipline, and flexibility. Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and the ability to pass a drug test. Ability to stand/walk 90% of work shift. The candidate must possess a positive attitude, excellent leadership qualities, and a high degree of flexibility.
