Description
The Offsite Program Educator engages visitors of all ages in educational and entertaining offsite programmatic capacity. Educators will be expected to teach in a variety of settings that includes but is not limited to assemblies, outreaches, after school programs, mobile van based programs, demonstrations and science expos. This role also includes maintenance and coordination of supplies, offsite logistics, volunteer training, correspondence, set-up and/clean-up, and outreach facilitation. This role may involve traveling and overnight stays. This role will work directly with education staff, volunteers and department managers to ensure that the program participants have an engaging and educational experience. The Offsite Program Educator is expected to represent Kentucky Science Center on the road.

Qualifications
College Graduate with emphasis in education, science or other related discipline. Working experience with Kindergarten through middle school students (K-8). Excellent communication, organization and public interaction skills. Enthusiastic and flexible attitude. Must be self-motivated, able to follow directions and work independently. Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical duties such as lifting, reaching, pulling/pushing.

Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time.
Must pass a criminal background check.
Must maintain a valid driver's license.
