The Benefits Coordinator is an entry level administrative support position to the Benefits & HRIS Manager. This position will assist in Benefit plan maintenance, module implementations, and system updates. Complete data entry functions involving termination, hire and transfer data, benefit changes and other information assigned. Assist in educating new employees of human resource policies and programs as needed. Perform general office support functions and assist Human Resources team as necessary.
â¢ Provide administrative services to and for the HR Team as requested;
â¢ Support the HR Coordinator in the entering of new hire information, personnel changes, and terminations in HRIS, execute data entry of employee data in HRIS in timely fashion adhering to departmental deadlines;
â¢ Answer, screen, route calls to appropriate parties. Provide accurate information to inquiries made to Human Resources through phone and/or email;
â¢ Coordinate COBRA initiatives;
â¢ Stay up to date on HR related trends, best practices and regulatory topics
â¢ Process benefit enrollment forms and Qualifying Events. Provide education and guidance to employees with benefit inquiries. Administer ULP retirement programs. Support the coordination and execution of open enrollment. Assist HR Generalist with benefits portion of New Hire Orientation when needed.
â¢ Manage ULP Leave of Absence programs including; FMLA, Medical Leave, Personal Leave, Military/USERRA leave, Workers Compensation, Short Term Disability and Long Term Disability. Complete employer portion of STD and LTD claims for employees. Monitor and track employees on LOA and ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal leave laws.
â¢ Comply with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain patient and employee confidentiality at all times;
â¢ Provide assistance to / coverage for HRIS Coordinator and HR Coordinator when needed;
â¢ Reconcile benefits invoices to employee elections;
â¢ Assist in benefit communications and delivery of information;
â¢ Work with the Health & Wellness vendors on benefits (enrollment, terminations)
â¢ Adhere to organizational policies and procedures;
â¢ Other duties as assigned;
â¢ This position requires the ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time, standard mobility to maneuver from one location to another, regular lifting and carrying items weighing 20 lbs. or less.
â¢ Bachelor's degree, preferred.
â¢ 1 year of relevant HR experience, preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
â¢ Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office; advanced Excel, Word and PPT skills strongly preferred.
â¢ Excellent communication skills and telephone protocol; professional verbal and written communication skills.
â¢ Ability to manage projects and conflicting priorities.
â¢ Strong analytical skills and understanding up and downstream impacts of changes.
â¢ Ability to apply and understand health and wellness regulations.
â¢ Ability to adapt in a fast pace working environment.
