It is always in your best interest to see your academic advisor.
Meet with your Academic Advisor in your School or Division and discuss the recommended and alternate courses required to meet your degree. If a course is "RSTR (restricted)" or requires "PERM (permission)", you must contact the School office of the department offering the course before you attempt to register.

Each student must assume responsibility for ensuring that he/she knows the academic requirements for the degree being pursued. You may also use your AAR (Academic Advising Report) as a tool to assist you in course selection and meeting degree requirements.
Priority Registration (March 3, 2104 - March 16, 2014) - Undergraduate students that register in at least 6 credit hours for Summer during priority registration will be eligible to receive up to $300 in scholarships for books if using the UCard to purchase books from the campus Barnes and Noble Bookstore (Available from May 6- 15, 2014).
This year, undergraduate students receive a 25 percent discount off the in-state tuition rate for all undergraduate courses taken during the summer semester. Students at the non-resident tuition rate will receive the equivalent of 25 percent off the in-state tuition rates.
During the early (priority) registration period, students are given specific times to register. You can check your time by vising My Registration Appointment from the Student Self-Service section on the left, on the Services tab in OneStart. You will need to login first, using your user id and passphrase, the same as used for email or Oncourse. You can register at or after your appointment time.
Students registering during open registration do not need registration appointments, but must be eligible to register. If you previously attended IUS, but do not see a link to the current term for registration, please contact the Admissions office and your School or Division.
Students who are enrolled on another IU campus or who were last enrolled on another IU campus but did not graduate, should complete the intercampus transfer form. For summer school temporary intercampus transfers, please use this form.
Certain courses, such as those marked PERM (permission) must be approved by the department offering the course before you register. You can see if permissions have been granted by visiting: My Class Permissions from the Student Self-Service section on the left, on the Services tab in OneStart.
You must meet certain criteria to enroll in a course marked RSTR. Consult with your academic advisor.
Be sure there are no academic or financial holds that will prevent you from registering.
You may see if there are any holds on your record by vising "Holds on My Record" from the Student Information box in the Student Self-Service section on the left, on the Services tab in OneStart.
Visit the Academic Calendar for specific dates and times for registration.
