Lana O. Aebersold (2005-11) (2012-15)
Lana Oates Aebersold of New Albany majored in Fine Arts at Indiana University. She and her husband, David, own and operate Aebersold Florist, a 104-year-old, successful family business with locations in New Albany and Sellersburg. In addition to serving as an elected Floyd County Councilwoman, Lana is a board member of the Carnegie Center for Art & History and the Floyd County Youth Shelter, as well as the chair of the Staff-Parish Relations Committee at Centenary United Methodist Church.
A respected community leader, she is past president of the Southern Indiana Convention and Tourism Bureau, the Southern Indiana Arts Council, and the Floyd Memorial Hospital Foundation Board; past campaign chair for Metro United Way; and a past board member of One Southern Indiana. Lana previously served on the IU Southeast Board of Advisors from 2005-11.
She and David have three children and four grandchildren.
