IU Southeast is committed to achieving educational excellence through diversity. We offer students high-quality undergraduate and graduate education that is student-centered, responsive to changing regional and societal needs, and based on high academic standards. Our Strategic Plan requires that diversity and equity be among the guiding principles of IU Southeast and be the responsibility of the entire campus community. IU Southeast embraces a comprehensive concept of diversity to include efforts in population, programming, and environment as well as all major dimensions including race/ethnicity, national origin, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, religion, age, veteran status, disability, and socioeconomic status. We will take a new approach by thinking outside the box and encouraging campus-wide efforts and initiatives through outstanding leadership, planning, coordination, and action.
The Office of Academic Affairs promotes educational excellence, diversity, and the other goals and objectives in our Strategic Plan. It guides academic units by fostering collaboration with other divisions across the campus as well as stakeholders in the community. This website is designed to facilitate communication in carrying out our shared mission. I hope you will find it informative and stimulating as we pursue our goals together.
