The purpose of the IU Southeast Distinguished Research & Creativity Award is to recognize a full-time faculty member for outstanding scholarly or creative work. The award may be based on an especially noteworthy recent accomplishment (e.g., a well-received book) or on a body of work produced over a period of several years (e.g., a series of articles or a set of creative works or performances). The Research & Grants Committee will receive nominations, evaluate supporting materials, and select the winner of the award.
The Committee encourages nominations from all members of the University community and especially from colleagues of nominees who can provide a knowledgeable evaluation of the merits of the work on which nominations are based. The Committee requests the nominations include a short statement of the reasons for nomination, as well as (optionally) a curriculum vitae. The candidates themselves will be asked to provide a file of supporting materials.
Please submit this form to the Chancellor’s Office by Friday, November 30, 2012.
