Welcome to the IU Southeast Common Experience.

Members of the local communities of Indiana and Kentucky are encouraged to join us as we implement our first Common Experience program during the 2006-07 academic year. We have scheduled numerous speakers and activities centering on the theme of “Citizens making a difference in America.” The IU Southeast community of students, staff, and faculty also invites you to read with us the Common Experience reading Coming of Age in Mississippi by Anne Moody. The book was chosen not only to illustrate the theme of our Common Experience but also to generate discussions of the civil rights era, citizenship, civic responsibility, and citizen engagement. We hope that you will join us during the 2006-07 academic year for the IU Southeast COMMON EXPERIENCE!
