Student Essay Contest

All students at IU Southeast are eligible to submit a 900 to 1200 word essay on the Common Experience theme “Citizens Making a Difference in America.” Essays must be typed (12 point font), double spaced with standard margin widths and have a cover sheet. They should be submitted to Cliff Staten, Chair of the IU Southeast Common Experience Committee, no later than Friday, March 16, 2007. Essays must be submitted electronically in Microsoft Word via email to cstaten@ius.edu. The student-authors of the top 3 essays will receive cash prizes and their essays will be placed on the IU Southeast Common Experience website.

Common Experience Student Essay Winners

The essays of the winners of the 2006-07 IU Southeast Common Experience Essay Contest will be posted on the website in April of 2007.
