What Our Clients Say

The design services they performed were outstanding — and as a nonprofit on a small budget, getting our message to the public with outstanding graphic design is usually beyond our means. It was like having a professional graphic design studio at our fingertips - and at no cost to us. The Design Center at IUS is a highly valuable community service! We plan to utilize their expertise many times in the future.

Jay Ellis, Executive Director, Jeffersonville Main Street, Inc.

On behalf of the Rock the Rocks Committee of the Clarksville Riverfront Foundation, we wish to express our sincere appreciation to you and the IU Southeast students for your design for our 2006 Rock the Rocks.

The September 23, 2006, Rock the Rocks fundraiser was quite successful. This year we almost doubled our ticket sales over the previous year. The event’s design contributed to this success and was important for the event.

Historic Landmarks Foundation of Indiana, the nation’s largest, statewide, nonprofit, historic preservation organization, wishes to express its gratitude to the Design Center at Indiana University Southeast for its assistance in helping to develop print ads for the HistoricNewAlbany.com website that was launched last year…Several properties have been sold through the website and the ads that were developed by the Design Center have aided in increasing exposure about the site.

Gregory A. Sekula, Southern Regional Director, Historic Landmarks Foundation of Indiana

On behalf of the board of directors of the Surface Design Association, I would like to extend my warmest thanks to the Design Center for its work on the Granted exhibition. This exhibition consisted of 19 printed boards containing visual images and narratives honoring recent recipients of SDA grants and awards. Placed outside the room where our silent auction was conducted during our May 2007 conference, Granted also was intended to stimulate member interest in our grants and awards, as well as increase participation in our silent auction. All proceeds from the auction go toward our grant and awards program.

I received a great deal of favorable feedback from conferees and board members alike on the high caliber of the boards. Not only were observers interested in the activities described and pictured on the boards, but they also remarked on the quality of the boards themselves. While we have no way of knowing whether the boards directly increased the success of the auction, in fact, we raised close to $2,000 more this year than at the last auction.

Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to directly benefit from the skills of your students. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and your students again.

Bette Levy, Director of Fund Raising, Surface Design Association

The New Albany Home Tour committee had nothing but positive comments about the Design Center and the students that were involved with our project. They were very professional and represented IU Southeast well. The products that the ladies came up with were phenomenal and it was difficult to chose between the design options.

Good luck, you are providing a great service to the students and community.

Dave Barksdale, Floyd County Historian
